The Online Therapy Process
For therapy to be effective, it requires you to be curious about yourself. Having the openness and flexibility to look inward, therapy requires you to be both vulnerable and accountable.
In therapy, we will reflect on your past experiences because the past provides information about the present. The goal of therapy is to understand what you’ve been through and to find solutions for what you’re still going through. When you get control of your thoughts and feelings, you will have clarity of how your past is shaping your present. You will show up more openly and authentically to life.
Another key component of therapy is to understand how we view ourselves. Most people struggle with self-criticism and self-judgment. The goal of therapy is to help you understand how you come to develop the self-critical voice by examining the implicit or explicit messages you have been exposed to. Through self-reflection, you will gain tools to replace the self-critical inner voice with a self-accepting and compassionate one.
While you will make new discoveries and gain deep insight into who you are and your life story, we will also work collaboratively to transform this insight into action. The insight gained during a therapy session will be ineffective if it stays within the therapy room. Once you take this insight and apply it to your life, you will experience the fruits of your hard work.
Here’s what to expect:
The Online therapy process starts with a free 20-minute phone consultation. You will have the opportunity to elaborate on your current experiences that you wish to address in therapy. You will also learn more about my approach to therapy and cost.
Online counseling only requires a computer with a video camera, and an Internet connection.
During the first 2 to 3 sessions, we will have the intake process where we gather all the information we need to create a strong and accurate plan for you. The comprehensive intake evaluation will help us uncover the underlying factors that get in the way from you being your best version. We will also explore other components that may influence the treatment outcome. This process is necessary to tailor a successful treatment plan for your individual needs.
On-going sessions are designed to deepen your relationship with yourself and others. The goal of therapy is not to remove all obstacles and guarantee no future mistakes or regrets, but to give you the tools and insight that will help you maneuver what life has in store for you. You will find the peace and strength to go through life with all of its ups and downs and know that you can handle it.

What does Online therapy cost?
Online therapy is a fee for service program, and I accept all major forms of payment. Please visit the Payment and Insurance tab under Getting Started for my session fees.
Due to my desire to make sure you maintain maximum privacy and wanting to provide you with the highest level of care possible without constraints from managed care, I am an out-of-network provider for all insurance panels; therefore, I am not affiliated with any insurance panel. Many PPO plans may reimburse in full or in part for my services. Unfortunately, HMO, Medi-Cal, and Medicare insurances do not reimburse as they require that you see someone on their panel.
Where and When Can I Schedule My First Session?
The online therapy only requires you that you are a resident of California. Please fill out our contact form to schedule your free 20-minutes phone consultation.
