While you continue to build this “perfect” life, in actuality, there is a mismatch between the image you put out in the world and the turmoil you feel inside.

This lack of authenticity shows up as an inner critical voice that blames and judges everything you do. It has become hard for you to give yourself credit or take care of your needs.

You have so much love to give to others and you are capable of treating yourself with the same kindness and care. The strength lies within you to change and you can learn the skills you need to have a more loving and real relationship with yourself.

You’ve put so much work into making sure your life goes a certain way that you’re ready to start reaping the rewards. You know there are still going to be hurdles to jump over, but you honestly feel like you’ve checked all the boxes and life should be pretty easy by now.

When you look at your life today, it’s not as effortless as you want it to be.

You’re struggling to make it through the day without feeling anxious and on your worst days, it feels like you’re never going to fully trust yourself.

Well, I’m here to tell you, your life is not a lost cause.

Your anxiety does not have to mean that your life will always be chaotic. You are completely capable of busting out of your comfort zone, taking ownership of your dreams, and creating a new sense of self.

Hi, I’m Dr. Menije, there’s one thing I know for sure…

Each one of us deserves to believe in ourselves!

Sometimes we get so caught up in proving ourselves to others that we forget how much strength we have inside. And it often feels like our worth depends on our accomplishments and what other people think of us rather than what we know to be true.

When this happens, you can judge yourself according to external standards instead of relying on your own intuition to guide the way.

This doesn’t mean you can’t start treating your self with kindness, it simply means you need to change the story you tell yourself so you can reconnect with your authentic wisdom.

The truth is, letting go of perfection is hard. And it’s normal to be skeptical when you’re changing the way you have always thought about things. Even though you feel intimidated now, it doesn’t have to keep you from being more courageous.

Instead, you can stop doubting yourself, tap into your power, and take the risk to open up to new possibilities.

More About Me

We all create narratives about our lives, giving meaning to what we have been through and what is currently happening. Therapy with me is to uncover these stories you have been telling yourself so that you are judgment-free.

Let me share a secret with you; my goal in therapy is to help you feel better and then terminate. I am not here to retain clients but see them move on with their lives. Once we terminate, you can always return for tune-ups.

You can expect the therapy sessions to be interactive and supportive and yet challenging. Therapy is effective only when both you and I do our part. I ask that you be curious about new ways to approach the challenges in your life.

I am passionate about turning your judgment to compassion and your pain into purpose.

I received my bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of California, San Diego Angeles and furthered my education with a masters degree in psychology from Pepperdine’s University and a doctoral degree in clinical psychology from the California School of Professional Psychology.

I specifically use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy model  (CBT) that looks at how our thoughts affect our emotions, which affect our behaviors. Therefore, one of the main focuses of CBT is to uncover underlying thoughts, attitudes and belief systems you may have that are unhealthy, negative or rigid. Once we identify these unhealthy thought patterns our goal is to find ways to challenge and reframe them.  In addition to addressing your thoughts, we also explore behavioral changes to support your new way of thinking and at times use these action goals to challenge your thoughts. You will learn practical tools to apply to your everyday stressors to get new and better results.

Where and when can I schedule my first session?

My office is conveniently located at 21031 Ventura Blvd Suite #316, Woodland Hills, CA 91364. I also offer tele-therapy to residence of California.

I also serve Calabasas, Agoura Hills, Tarzana, Encino, and the surrounding communities.

What does therapy for individual or couple session cost?

Therapy for individual or couple is a fee for service program, and I accept all major forms of payment. Please visit the Payment and Insurance tab under Getting Started for my session fees.

Due to my desire to make sure you maintain maximum privacy and wanting to provide you with the highest level of care possible without constraints from managed care, I am an out-of-network provider for all insurance panels; therefore, I am not affiliated with any insurance panel. Many PPO plans may reimburse in full or in part for my services. Unfortunately, HMO, Medi-Cal, and Medicare insurances do not reimburse as they require that you see someone on their panel.
