Hi, I’m Dr. Menije,
I am a licensed psychologist based out of Los Angeles where I live with my family. I went into private practice so that I could shift my focus to a setting that I believed would give me the time I need with my family while serving my community. What I have learned in the 20 years I have lived here is that we are constantly on the go, constantly creating something new and striving for better, whether it's finding a balance between work and personal life, making our dreams come true, or having stronger connections - we ALL want to live our authentic lives. We have all felt this struggle. And there is one thing I know for sure...no one should be trying so hard to be perfect that they can't enjoy their own beautiful, unique life.
You are good enough and can let go of perfection!
When you try so hard to make everything in your life perfect, you live in fear that if you make a mistake, everything you work for will fall apart. But, that sense of control you struggle to have may actually be working against you.
You already have amazing tools that helped you manage responsibility and accomplish your goals, while still supporting the other people in your life. You know you deserve the life you are building for yourself, and you deserve to enjoy that life in peace…but there are overwhelming feelings.
DEEP DOWN, YOU’RE FEELING INSECURE AND LOST, AND YOU JUST WANT AN ANSWER AS TO WHEN YOU’RE GOING TO START FEELING MORE SECURE AND CONFIDENT
You fear that people will find out that you have flaws, that all you have achieved hangs by a thread, and you’ll lose everything. What an overwhelming feeling to live as though you are never fully yourself, never safe to be wholly yourself, that something is just a moment away from falling through the cracks.
You’re looking for a therapist who can help you break free from the vicious cycle of anxiety and judgment and instead build a true sense of trust in yourself.
I invite you to explore with me how life would be different if you had more control over your thoughts and emotions, and I invite you to consider that it is possible to accept things just as they are, EMBRACING imperfections in order to create a gentler place for CALM in your life. Let’s learn what drives your unique perspective on perfection, and then let’s find the tools-your unique tools-that help you respond to life in a healthy, calm way.
