Sogol Dargahifar is a first-generation Iranian-American who immigrated to the United States thirteen years ago. As an immigrant, she learned to be culturally aware – to acknowledge and respect similarities and differences with other cultures. 

Sogol obtained her B.A. in Psychology with a minor in Sociology and her M.S. in Counseling with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy from California State University, Northridge. 

Sogol has proven track record of working with adults and children affected by domestic and sexual violence, trauma, anxiety disorders, depression, suicide ideation, substance abuse, and child maltreatment. She previously worked with individuals, adolescents, couples, and families during her internship.

Additionally, she is trained in evidence-based and evidence-informed treatments, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive- Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT). She also employs the therapeutic modalities of Psychodynamic, Motivational Interviewing Therapy (MI), Narrative Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, and mindfulness-based techniques.
