About Me:

I have dedicated over 15 years to serving the mental health treatment needs of children, adolescents, young adults and families.

I hold a Doctor of Psychology degree with an emphasis in child and family practice. I understand that individuals exist in the context of the families and communities in which they live and, as such, I support my patients in achieving success in their relationships with others as well as in their daily activities.

I specialize in the assessment and treatment of anxiety conditions, including social anxiety and selective mutism, which was the subject of my doctoral dissertation at Alliant International University, California School of Professional Psychology, San Francisco.

I was awarded lifetime professional membership of the Selective Mutism Association and twice served on the international organization’s Board of Directors.

I completed an APA-accredited, pre-doctoral internship at Child and Family Guidance Center in Northridge, CA, which solidified my training and experience in family systems theory and psychological assessment.

I completed my postdoctoral residency at St. John’s Health Center in Santa Monica, CA, where I received specialized training in providing clinical supervision.

Additionally, I completed a postgraduate fellowship in infant-parent mental health (IPMH) at University of Massachusetts, Boston.

I am trained to work with the youngest of patients, ages 0–5 years, and their caregivers, helping them to develop healthy infant-parent attachment, achieve developmental milestones, and overcome parenting challenges.

I have experience as a clinician, supervisor, and manager at various school and community mental health agencies in both San Francisco and Los Angeles areas.

I incorporate empirically validated cognitive-behavioral therapy, structural family therapy, developmental theories, and other effective approaches in assessing and treating each patient’s condition.

I ensure that treatment success extends beyond the office to all settings including the home, school, and community.
