Allison received her B.A in Psychology from Woodbury University and her M.A in Clinical Psychology with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy from Pepperdine University. Allison’s goal as a therapist is to assist you in working through the challenges that life brings by fostering a safe, non-judgmental environment built on trust, empathy, compassion, and understanding. Allison has experience working with a variety of clients including adolescents, adults, and couples. As a first-generation Guatemalan-American, Allison understands the importance of being culturally aware, as well as the influence and impact it can set on interpersonal relationships and self-reflection. Through her work, Allison uses a collaborative approach to helping clients process everything from anxiety, relationship issues, life transitions, infidelity, and grief that is specifically tailored to each client’s cultural and therapeutic needs. Allison is most familiar with the following modalities: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Emotion Focused Therapy, Psychodynamic, Family Systems, and Narrative Therapy.
